I read and I write, in that order. In between, I do some thinking, mainly about how to live a meaningful life. I am on a journey, learning to live as natural a life as possible. Every day I plan to do something to connect with nature and lead a more natural life. So much of our food now is treated with chemicals and genetically modified, the same with all the creams and potions we put on the outside of our bodies. I believe that many of the illnesses prevalent today - mental and physical - can be prevented or treated with diet and by changing the way we think. "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," Hippocrates said. Our connection to nature is important and I like to be outdoors as often as I can. I originally trained as a nurse, gaining my degree in 2000. Now I prefer a more holistic and natural approach to life and health. Jane Redfern Jones.

“Every child needs to learn how to cook, needs to learn how to cultivate a garden, plant seeds, learn about sustainability, be taken to a garden, and be able to put hands in the Earth.”~ Alice Waters.
